Learner Induction Policy

Purpose

At UK PMU Experts, we believe that a well-structured induction process sets the foundation for a positive, successful, and empowering training experience.
Our Learner Induction Policy ensures that every student receives the information, guidance, and support they need before beginning their course — helping them feel fully prepared, confident, and welcomed into our academy community.

Scope

This policy applies to all learners enrolled on ABT-accredited and ProQual-regulated courses delivered by UK PMU Experts.
It forms part of our wider Quality Assurance Framework and must be read alongside our:

Welcome & Orientation

All learners are warmly welcomed to UK PMU Experts through the Skool learning platform, which serves as the central hub for induction, resources, and course communication.

The Welcome Section inside Skool includes:

  • A full Learner Induction Form, which all students must complete before starting their training.

  • The course-specific welcome pack, outlining exactly what to expect from your chosen course.

  • A downloadable Training Manual.

  • Full details about the academy address, parking, nearest train stations, and hotel recommendations for travel or accommodation.

  • Clear guidance on Student Etiquette, professionalism, and what to expect during your course.

  • Links to key policies and support information.

Accessing Information

Learners must log into Skool before attending their first training day and read through the sections relevant to the course they have booked.

This ensures that all learners are fully informed about:

  • Course structure and timetable.

  • Entry requirements and learning expectations.

  • Pre-study tasks or model requirements.

  • Health & Safety and hygiene standards.

  • Assessment methods and case study requirements.

  • Contact information for support and emergencies.

All ProQual learners will also find their specific ProQual policies and regulated course information within the Welcome Section of their course area in Skool.

Learner Induction Form

Before commencing any course, all students must complete the Learner Induction Form located in the Skool Welcome Section.

This form confirms that the learner:

  • Has read and understood all relevant course information and policies.

  • Is aware of academy expectations, attendance requirements, and code of conduct.

  • Has disclosed any relevant health conditions or learning needs.

  • Has received access to their course materials and online learning area.

This record is stored securely and forms part of each learner’s enrolment file.

Our Commitment

During induction, learners will receive:

  • A warm welcome to the academy and team.

  • Guidance on how to access course materials, support, and policies.

  • An introduction to our academy values — professionalism, respect, and empowerment.

  • Information about safety, wellbeing, and conduct expectations.

Tutors are available to answer any questions and ensure that every learner fully understands how their training will run.

Learner Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

  • Complete the online Learner Induction Form before training begins.

  • Read all relevant information within the Skool Welcome Section.

  • Familiarise themselves with all academy policies and procedures.

  • Arrive prepared for training with an understanding of what to expect.

  • Follow the Student Etiquette Policy and behave respectfully throughout training.

  • Reach out for clarification or support if anything is unclear before their course start date.

Failure to complete the induction form or review required materials may delay course participation or certification.

Monitoring & Review

The induction process is monitored through learner feedback and tutor evaluation to ensure it remains clear, effective, and user-friendly.
Feedback collected after induction is used to improve communication and support for future students.

This policy is reviewed annually as part of our Quality Assurance cycle to ensure compliance with both ABT and ProQual standards.
