Infectious Illness Policy

Purpose

At UK PMU Experts, the health and wellbeing of our clients, students, models, and team members are our top priority.
To maintain a safe and professional environment, we have a strict policy regarding infectious illnesses such as COVID-19, influenza (flu), norovirus, conjunctivitis, cold sores, and other contagious conditions.

Our aim is to prevent the spread of infection within our academy and clinic so that training, treatments, and services can continue safely for everyone.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Providing a clean, sanitised, and hygienic environment at all times.

  • Reducing the risk of cross-contamination between clients, students, and staff.

  • Protecting vulnerable individuals who may be more susceptible to illness.

  • Following current Public Health England (PHE) guidance on infection control and hygiene standards.

If You Are Unwell

To protect everyone in the academy and clinic, any person showing signs of infectious illness must not attend training, model appointments, or treatments.

This includes symptoms such as:

  • Fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath.

  • Vomiting, diarrhoea, or stomach pain.

  • Cold sores or open lesions around the treatment area.

  • Conjunctivitis, eye infections, or unexplained rashes.

If you attend the premises while unwell, you may be asked to reschedule and leave immediately to protect others.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

If you are unwell, please contact us as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment or training date.

  • Clients and students are encouraged to give at least 14 days’ notice whenever possible so their place can be reallocated.

  • Short-notice cancellations due to illness will still follow the terms of our Cancellation Policy — booking fees remain non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling is always at the discretion of management and may require a new booking fee.

We do not require a doctor’s note; we trust our clients and students to act responsibly and respectfully.

Infection Control & Hygiene

We maintain the highest hygiene standards in all areas of the academy and clinic:

  • Treatment beds, tools, and surfaces are disinfected between every client or model.

  • Hands are sanitised before and after every treatment or training activity.

  • Disposable items (such as needles, gloves, and masks) are single-use only.

  • Clinical waste and sharps are disposed of safely and professionally.

  • All staff and tutors follow strict cross-contamination prevention protocols.

Students are expected to uphold these same standards during training and assessment.

Responsibility of Clients, Students, and Models

All clients, students, and models must:

  • Inform us immediately if they are unwell, contagious, or have recently been in contact with someone with a known infection.

  • Refrain from attending appointments or training until at least 48 hours after symptoms have fully cleared.

  • Follow all hygiene guidance provided by tutors and staff.

  • Respect the wellbeing of others by not attending while contagious.

We rely on everyone’s honesty and cooperation to keep the academy a safe, healthy space for all.

Staff Health & Safety

Our tutors and staff will also follow this policy and stay away from the academy if they are unwell or infectious.
In such cases, appointments or training may be rescheduled at short notice. We appreciate your understanding if this ever occurs — it’s always done to protect everyone’s safety.

Non-Compliance

Anyone who knowingly attends the academy while ill or contagious may be refused entry and asked to leave immediately.
Persistent disregard for this policy may result in removal from the course or termination of services without refund.

Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if public health guidance changes.
UK PMU Experts reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time without prior notice.
The latest version will always be available on our website, in the academy policy folder, and in the Skool Welcome Section.
