Health & Safety Policy
At UK PMU Experts, we are fully committed to providing a safe, clean, and professional environment for everyone — our clients, models, students, and staff.
Health and safety are at the heart of everything we do, and we all share the responsibility to maintain the highest standards of care, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times.
Our aim is to prevent accidents, protect wellbeing, and create a safe working and learning space for all who visit our academy and clinic.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to:
Providing and maintaining safe treatment and training facilities.
Preventing accidents, injuries, and ill health wherever possible.
Ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with UK health and safety regulations.
Continuously reviewing and improving our practices.
Encouraging everyone — staff, students, clients, and models — to report anything that could compromise safety immediately.
Student Responsibilities
As a student of UK PMU Experts, you play a vital role in maintaining a safe learning environment.
Students must:
Follow all health and safety instructions given by tutors and staff.
Use all equipment, tools, and products responsibly and only under tutor supervision.
Report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or potential hazards immediately to your tutor or the Centre Coordinator.
Inform staff if you or someone else becomes unwell, injured, or distressed.
Maintain good personal hygiene and wear clean, professional attire suitable for training.
Keep workstations tidy and free from obstructions.
Never attempt to perform treatments on clients or models without permission and supervision.
Students share responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of everyone in the training environment.
Client Responsibilities
Clients attending treatments at our clinic are expected to:
Be honest during consultations, declaring any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or skin sensitivities that may affect treatment safety.
Follow all pre-treatment and aftercare advice provided.
Arrive clean, punctual, and in a fit state to receive treatment.
Inform us immediately if they feel unwell, faint, or uncomfortable during a treatment.
Report any hazards or unsafe conditions they notice on the premises.
Respect the hygiene and safety protocols in place, including sanitising hands on arrival and avoiding attendance if unwell (see our Infectious Illness Policy).
Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and professional environment for everyone.
Model Responsibilities
All models attending student training days must:
Complete a full consultation and consent form before treatment.
Provide accurate information about their medical history, medications, allergies, or health concerns.
Follow all tutor and student instructions during treatments.
Report immediately if they feel dizzy, unwell, or uncomfortable.
Arrive clean, makeup-free (if required), and ready for treatment.
Inform us if they become aware of any hazard, spill, or unsafe condition within the premises.
Models play an essential part in the learning experience and are treated with the same respect and safety standards as paying clients.
Staff Responsibilities
All staff members, tutors, and assessors are responsible for:
Promoting and maintaining a culture of health and safety at all times.
Leading by example through professional conduct, cleanliness, and care.
Ensuring that all students are briefed on safety procedures before practical sessions.
Checking that equipment, needles, and disposables are safe, sterile, and ready for use.
Monitoring the training and treatment environment for potential hazards.
Recording and reporting any accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Supporting any person who becomes unwell or injured and following the correct first aid procedure.
Staff are also responsible for ensuring that all accident logs, waste management records, and first aid kits are maintained and up to date.
Reporting Unsafe Conditions
If any person — staff, student, client, or model — notices something unsafe, damaged, or potentially hazardous, it must be reported immediately to the tutor or Centre Coordinator.
Examples include:
Spills or wet floors
Damaged plugs, cables, or equipment
Missing PPE
Broken sharps bins
Trip hazards
Any unsafe or unhygienic practice
Reporting hazards quickly prevents accidents and protects everyone.
General Health & Hygiene Practices
We maintain the highest hygiene standards:
All tools, beds, and work areas are disinfected between clients.
Needles and consumables are single-use only.
Hands are sanitised before and after every treatment or model session.
Clinical waste and sharps are disposed of safely via a licensed contractor.
PPE (gloves, aprons, masks) is worn where appropriate.
All rooms are cleaned daily, and sanitisation products are available throughout the academy.
Accidents & Emergencies
A First Aid Kit is available in every treatment and training room.
All tutors are trained in basic first aid and emergency response.
Fire exits are clearly marked and kept unobstructed.
Fire alarms, extinguishers, and smoke detectors are tested regularly.
In case of emergency, follow staff instructions and leave the building calmly via the nearest exit.
All accidents or incidents, no matter how small, must be recorded in the Accident Report Log immediately.
Policy Review
This Health & Safety Policy is reviewed annually or sooner if changes in legislation, facilities, or procedures require it.
All updates will be shared with staff and students to ensure full awareness of current standards.
By attending the premises, booking a treatment, modelling, or enrolling on a course with UK PMU Experts, you agree to follow this Health & Safety Policy and to take shared responsibility for keeping our environment clean, safe, and professional for everyone 💖
